EMIL - Ethos of Intercultural and Interreligious Learning
TPO Foundation has continued to strengthen the intercultural and interreligious competencies of professors, teachers and civil society activists to create an ethos of dialogue, understanding,
tolerance and acceptance of diversity.
It is important to bring together intercultural and interreligious learning in an ethnically and religiously divided Bosnian society. The culture of this region is heavily imbued with religions, so it is important not to exclude but to include religious and non-religious worldviews in dialogue, as well as cultural specificities that represent a resource for promoting a dialogic lifestyle.
EMIL programme brings together a network of professors and teachers from high schools and universities who wish to acquire additional competencies in intercultural and interreligious learning. In addition to the existing network of teachers, civil society and the religious community, TPO Foundation engages teachers and students, as well as representatives of local communities, to build an ethos of mutual understanding and trust.
EMIL programme is implemented in partnership with the Ministries of Education, Science, Culture and Sports in five cantons: Herzegovina – Neretva Canton, Central Bosnia Canton, Tuzla Canton, Zenica – Doboj and Sarajevo Canton.
