A Global Ethic As a Pedagogical Project
“Teach to coexistence: This means an encounter in an atmosphere of respect, associated with the willingness to search for ways to a successful unity despite all differences. However, such communion does not succeed automatically by itself, but we must profoundly think of assumptions and foundations of such communion.
We must learn an acceptable communion and then practice it over and over again so as to stabilize and preserve it. For this reason, ‘learn to live together’ means this: Successful co-existence as learning process, as a ‘pedagogical’ process.” That is also the fundamental intention of a Global Ethic.
