On June 23, 2023 there was a ceremonial awarding of certificates for the participants of replication P4C trainings. In the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies “Prof. dr. Zdravko Grebo” of the University of Sarajevo, nearly a hundred classroom teachers shared their experiences of participating in the training, but also of applying the P4C method in their own classrooms.
A group of 16 trainers trained about a hundred classroom teachers in the period from January to March 2023. On this occasion, certificates were awarded to the participants as well as certificates of appreciation to the trainers. The director of the TPO Foundation, prof. Zilka Spahić Šiljak, director of the Institute for the Development of Pre-University Education Sarajevo Canton, Senada Salihović, SAPERE BH coordinator, Elmana Cerić and trainer Kanita Granov, teacher of the Seventh Primary School in Ilidža.
Given that the training was supported by the Institute for the Development of Pre-University Education Sarajevo Canton, Mrs. Salihović emphasized how proud she is of this project and the response of the teaching staff to continuously improve their skills.
The experience of applying the P4C method was also shared by teacher Kanita Granov, saying that P4C is applicable in different contexts, and even at parent meetings. “P4C made it easier to enter and accept the educational reform and all that is coming our way. This method proved to be useful and practical in teaching, and the students liked it. I also applied it at the parents’ meeting, so it is also suitable for adults” – said Mrs. Granov.
The replication trainings were implemented by the TPO Foundation with the support of the Institute for the Development of Pre-University Education Sarajevo Canton and the Ministry of Education Sarajevo Canton.
