Elementary school employee Avdo Smailović, even after completing the P4C training, continues to use the benefits of this method. Teacher Almedina Tokić – Zornić conducted a philosophical questioning with seventh grade students with the help of the question: “Is the teacher always a source of learning/knowledge?”.
The students participated actively, they were happy to come forward to share their thoughts and experiences. The students came to the conclusion that it is not possible to generalize on this issue and that depending on the situation, students, teachers, teachers can be viewed as a source of learning. However, during the seven-year schooling, students met teachers who were a source of knowledge, upbringing, love and understanding.
It is interesting that they mentioned that sometimes the teachers criticize them, but they think that the criticism is usually the result of concern and an attempt to have an educational effect on the students in order to improve their behavior and learning. They agreed that, despite the digital age, the role of the teacher is still crucial in education and that most of their teachers offer them adequate knowledge of the subject, but also that they feel partly as if the teachers and the school in general are educating them . Given that this generation grew up with advanced technology, it is very encouraging that they came to the mentioned conclusions themselves.
