“There is no alternative to dialogue, and without dialogue between religions there can be no peace in the world.” Inspired by this idea, TPO Foundation and IMIC Together initiated interreligious gatherings for high school students from Canton Sarajevo. On May 26, 2026, the first ETOS dialogue (ethics, tolerance, openness, solidarity) was held. The facilitator of the dialogue was Dr. Sci. Amra Pandžo, and the students visited the Synagogue, the Monastery of St. Anthony, and the Old Orthodox Church in Sarajevo.

The ETOS program, developed by TPO Foundation in cooperation with schools across Bosnia and Herzegovina since 2012, is based on the promotion of universal ethical values, intercultural understanding, and interreligious dialogue. ETOS is an initiative that promotes the idea that education and dialogue can contribute to building a peaceful and dignified coexistence among people of different religious, cultural, and worldview identities. Through the ETOS program, new cultures of dialogue, empathy, responsibility, and cooperation are developed in a society marked by diversity and post-conflict experiences.
As part of this program, in cooperation with high schools from Canton Sarajevo, TPO Foundation and IMIC Together enabled young people to visit religious sites and engage in discussions with representatives of religious communities about the challenges and examples of mutual respect, cooperation, and solidarity. These visits represent valuable symbols of Sarajevo’s cultural and historical heritage, as well as its centuries-old experience of coexistence. Through these encounters, young people had the opportunity to better understand the religious traditions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the importance of mutual understanding and dialogue in contemporary society.
The first ETOS dialogue was an opportunity for students to exchange experiences, engage in open conversation, and contribute to building trust, understanding, and a culture of peace among participants from different generations and communities.
