UNIGEM: STUDENT ACTIVITIES AT SARAJEVO SCHOOL OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (SSST)

As part of the University and Gender Mainstreaming (UNIGEM) project, and on the occasion of the “16 Day of Activism” campaign, students of the Sarajevo School of Science and Technology (SSST) Lamija Kovačević and Mia Bakal held a workshop called “Consent”.

The workshop was intended for students of SSST, and a total of 10 students attended. Through the presentation, the lecturers introduced the participants to the campaign “16 days of activism”, and then talked about what consent is, what is its significance, what are the consequences of lack of consent and what to do when consent is not respected.

Participants pointed out that the consequences of non-compliance with consent are visible through three groups:

– physical consequences,

– emotional consequences,

– legal consequences.

The solutions are grouped into the following categories:

– Social change,

– Legal changes,

– Institutional changes.
