Training of personal and professional development and advocacy with students from Banja Luka

The desire for change to have a better, more open and safer society was the motivation of the students of the University of Banja Luka who participated in the trainings of personal and professional development and advocacy within the NIRA project.

The trainings were held on July 14 and 15, 2020 in Banja Luka. The trainer in the field of personal and professional development was Melika Šahinović, but the knowledge and experience in the field of advocacy, lobbying and creating a media image was passed on to the participants by Bojana Trninić.

In addition to getting to know their personal potentials, the students also understood their personal needs for interaction with other people and realized the importance of understanding and accepting the individual differences of people in their environment.

Next to mentoring, they also designed advocacy strategies on the following topics: involving young people and women in political participation, learning ethical values, educating women / self-empowerment and career guidance.

Participants observe this training as an opportunity to overcome obstacles and fears and become active in their local communities.
