THE SECOND OPEN CLASSROOM IN THE MUSEUM OF LITERATURE AND PERFORMING ARTS B&H

The second open classroom for young people from <strong>Secondary School of Textile, Leather and Design</strong> from Sarajevo was organised on <strong>November 30, 2016</strong> in the <strong>Museum of Literature and Performing Arts B&H</strong>. The open classrooms are a part of educational activities within this year’s campaign <strong>16 Days of Activism against Gender based Violence</strong> conducted by <strong>TPO Foundation</strong> in cooperation with the <strong>Museum of Literature and Performing Arts B&H</strong>.

<img src=’http://etos.ba/etoscms/tinymce/plugins/image/uploads/1_1.jpg’ alt=” width=’740′ height=’416′ />The aim of the classroom is to raise awareness about female creative endeavour in B&H literature and learning about female writers who contributed to the cultural development in B&H. The classroom was place of conversation about educational curricula and gender issues in language, literature and dominant male norms and culture. The young people talked to the director of the Museum Šejla Šehabović and curator Zlatan Delić about reasons why female writers were banished from memory although there is evidence about their work and deeds.

The third open classroom is scheduled for December 8, 2016 when the Museum welcomes students from Railway School Centre.
