THE FIRST SET OF MEDIA PEDAGOGY WORKSHOPS IN TUZLA

On <strong>October 12 and 13, 2016</strong> the implementation of the first <strong>media pedagogy</strong> workshops in Tuzla began within three-year project <strong>’Prevention and Reduction of Violence at Schools'</strong> implemented by <strong>TPO Foundation Sarajevo</strong> after agreed cooperation with <strong>Pedagogical Institute</strong> <strong>of Tuzla Canton</strong> and <strong>Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton</strong>. Ten teachers from 10 schools in Tuzla Canton attended each one-day workshop. Workshops are implemented in cooperation with <strong>Centre for Cultural and Media Decontamination (CKMD)</strong>.

The first set was held with total 20 teachers in Tuzla. The goal of workshops was to introduce teachers to the basics of film and video narration, mastering of basic techniques for using audio and video technologies required for recording of short films and videos, film genres: short documentaries and short videos so called social spot, knowing of open source programmes for montage and its elements as well as framing. The leading idea of these workshops was not only to get teachers familiar with the available video and audio technology in service of education but also to create conditions and sources of information that will be used in pedagogical work with the present but also future generations of students.
