High School of metal trades Sarajevo, this year also marked the campaign “16 days of activism in 2023” with the realization of two activities with students. Activity coordinator, teacher Mirsad Cvrk, PhD, led the activities about gender-based violence.
In the period from November 25, – December 10, 2023. High School of Metal Trades Sarajevo implemented a project called “Stop violence against women”. The first activity was held in the premises of the school library, in the form of a round table. The contribution to the above activity was made by the members of the Student Council of the High School of Metal Trades, members of the Civitas section, and it was coordinated by the pedagogue, Amina Koro Jusić, the school librarian, Maida Mehić, and the coordinator, Mirsad Cvrk, PhD.
Members of the Student Council and sections presented their works on the topic of violence against women in the school library. Through this engagement, the students jointly spread awareness about gender-based violence, especially violence that is systematically repeated, but also show that art is also a part of social awareness with which we influence young people.
The commemoration of the “16 days of activism” campaign was supported by the TPO Foundation within the framework of the ETOS Initiative.
