Within the project UNIGEM (UNIversity and Gender Maninstreaming), and on the occasion of the campaign “16 days of activism” students of the University of Donja Gorica in Montenegro realized a number of activities:
– Collection of statements on personal experiences of gender-based violence suffered – Statements were collected during two weeks, provided that the anonymity of the students who gave statements was ensured. Visuals containing key messages / statements of students were made from the above statements.
– Organization of an exhibition of student works on gender equality and gender-based violence in the hall of the University of Donja Gorica – this activity first included holding a special workshop (on November 22, 2021) where students made different types of works, from songwriting to collages, posters, drawings, to photographs. The activity was led by dr. Milica Kovač-Orlandić, and the setting of the exhibition was helped by professors and students of the Faculty of Design and Multimedia, as well as student Ksenija Ljujić who coordinated the work of students. The exhibition was organized by students of the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of Sports Management, the Faculty of Information Systems and Technologies, the Faculty of Design and Multimedia, the Faculty of Applied Sciences and the Faculty of Food Technology and Food Safety. All activities were held in the building of the University of Donja Groica.
– Organization of an info day on the topic of gender-based violence in the central hall of the University of Donja Gorica – Info day was held on December 10, 2021. Students from the Faculty of Law, Humanities and Applied Sciences / Psychology participated in its organization in the period from 10 am to 12 noon. Students who led the Info Day distributed promotional material and talked to visitors, as well as students from all faculty units of the University. The info day was visited by close to 100 students.
– Organizing the Day of Gender Equality and the Fight against Gender-Based Violence in the Library of the University of Donja Gorica in the period from December, 8-10th 2021. During this period, students and employees of the University had the opportunity to see in one place, selected for this occasion, books, monographs, papers, research and reports on the position of women in society, discrimination and gender-based violence.
– Recording videos with students’ messages about gender equality.
– Recording videos of surveyed students and professors about gender equality.
