<em>In order to change the world, I must start from myself</em><br />
Through the ETOS initiative, the TPO Foundation awarded a grant to the project named <strong>"Intercultural and Interreligious Understanding"</strong>. The project was implemented in the period from June to November 2019. The project participant was Primary School ''Brčanska Malta'' from Tuzla. The project coordinator was Munevera Rahmanović – Hrbat.
All activities were implemented with the help of parents, students, teachers, school management, local community, NGOs and the media.<br />
<strong>The main objective of the project</strong> was to get to know one's own and other cultures and religions and to embrace diversity and to develop a tolerance toward the different ones.<br />
Activities held:<br />
<strong>Activity 1. Cultivating cultural identity through musical and folklore activity.</strong> The workshop was led by Amira Firulić. Students and teachers were participants. 14 June 2019.<br />
<strong>Activity 2. Workshop ''Stereotypes and prejudices from an ETOS perspective''</strong>. The workshop was led by Sabina Jogunčić. Participants of the workshop were students, teachers, NGOs, MRV BiH, Coalition for fight against hatred, media, parents, teachers from other schools. 14 June 2019.<br />
<strong>Activity 3. Workshop "Challenges of Interculturalism"</strong>. Led by Zerina Dedajić. The participants of the workshop were teachers of Primary School ''Brčanska Malta'' and other schools. 27 August 2019.<br />
<strong>Activity 4. Visit to religious sites in Tuzla.</strong> The guides were teachers of Islamic religion and Religious culture. The visit was attended by students and teachers. 18 September 2019.<br />
<strong>Activity 5. Humanitarian Action: Visit to UKC – Department of Oncology</strong>. The visit was led by Mirela Međedović while students, parents and teachers attended. 23 October 2019<br />
<strong>Activity 6. Workshop on "nurturing cultural identity and community through artistic creation"</strong>. The workshop was moderated by Selma Hodžić while the participants were students, teachers, parents and students of the Faculty of Philosophy in Tuzla. 27 October 2019.<br />
<strong>Activity 7. Workshop ''Developing environmental awareness and spreading the idea of ​​living together on the planet – Tree as a symbol of life and coexistence''.</strong> The leaders of this activity were the Eco School Section, and the "Eco Green" Tuzla. The participants were students, teachers, parents and students of the Faculty of Philosophy of the Department of Education. 27 October 2019.<br />
<strong>Activity 8. Workshop "Attitude towards the Other and the Different"</strong>. The workshop was led by Lejla Šabanović. Teachers and students participated in the workshop. 11 November 2019.<br />
<strong>Activity 9. Round table held at the room of the Project participating primary school</strong>. The round table moderator was the project coordinator and also the project assistant. The participants of the round table were teachers implementing the activities. 14 November 2019.<br />
<strong>Activity 10. Report to the Teachers' Council</strong>. The Project coordinator and Assistant presented to the members of the Teachers' Council of the Primary School ''Brčanska Malta'' a detailed report on the activities carried out and on future work on promoting Ethos. 22 November 2019.<br />

The project highlighted the importance of lifelong learning and the study of other cultures, religions and customs, and encouraged students to empathize through teamwork and individual work through artistic and musical creativity, to tolerate and accept the other. In addition, it emphasized and fostered the development of students' personalities, a more regular relationship toward the environment and the community, and improved relationships between students, parents and teachers.
