If the art speaks by the universal language, then the messages of the dialogue in diversity can be spoken best through art.
That is proven right by the professors and students of the High School for Textile, Leather and Design from Sarajevo.
The Ethos School project named "Equal in Diversity – Let's Get to Know and to Live the World" lasted from 19 September to 18 October 2019 . The coordinator of this project as a part of the Etos Initiative was Alma Ahmethodžić, a professor at the High School for Textile, Leather and Design in Sarajevo supported by professors Aldijana Muslim and Mubina Mujačić. Students from the Secondary School For Metalwork and the Secondary Catering and Tourism School and the Secondary Musical School joined the students of the High School for Textile, Leather and Design during the realization of the project activities.
<span style=’font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif’>The main objective of the project<span style=’font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif’> was to inform and educate all participants about the need for interreligious dialogue, to build and nurture an intercultural society, as well as to look at the world and the way of life with an emphasis on values of: ethics, tolerance, openness and solidarity (ETOS). All participants were educated on the above listed topics and concepts, and were encouraged to reflect on and to live them.
The project "Equal in Diversity – Let's Get to Know and to Live the World" has demonstrated how it is important to give youngsters a chance and to let them show us their knowledge and to make them feel trustworthy in the eyes of the adults. The majority of the project participants had not been visited all of the religious memorials and sacred objects of Sarajevo until participation in this project what proves a nonsense mistake if we take into consideration that those pupils are 17 years old in average. This project must be extended regarding all new generations that are entering the school and that are not going to have more knowledge than the contemporary ones. The atmosphere in the High School of Textile, Leather and Design is vivid, professors are generously working with all students and all of them together have an amazing support of the principal Behudin Rovčanin.
