On December 5, 2022, starting at 11:30 p.m., the first workshop was held as part of the project “BE ENCOURAGED-SPEAK UP” as part of the Ethos initiative. Fourth grade students of the High School for Textiles, Leather and Design with prof. Amelom Stambol during the workshop applied messages on T-shirts in order to encourage women to speak up and fight against gender-based violence. Fiftheen students participated in the workshop.
The goal of the workshop was for students to apply their views on gender-based violence to T-shirts, through illustrations and words. Fashion can really serve the purpose of spreading socially useful messages. Fashion as a way of encouraging women to see, speak up and actively and legally fight against gender-based violence.
The result of the work at the workshop will be presented as part of an exhibition of art works entitled “Let’s Talk”, December 9, 2022 at 11:30 p.m.
