An agreement on cooperation within the ETOS initiative has been signed with the Sarajevo Secondary Medical School

On February 15th 2022, an agreement on cooperation was signed between the TPO Foundation in Sarajevo and the Medical High School of Sarajevo. The agreement was signed by the program director of the TPO Foundation, v. Prof. Dr. Zilka Spahić Šiljak and the director of the Medical High School of Sarajevo, Professor Sadina Kešo. This document implies strategic cooperation between the Medical High School of Sarajevo and the TPO Foundation, which undertake to cooperate within their professional and administrative capacities in the preparation and coordination of program activities within the field of learning about ethical values, peace education and pedagogical and preventive programs in the area of peer – violence and of violence in school and in the broader community.

In order to acquire the title “School of World Ethos”, the Medical High School of Sarajevo will implement activities related to the prevention of peer and gender-based violence and gender based violence at school and within the family during the next three years, such as 16 days of activism against gender-based violence. According to this agreement, activities related to the promotion of volunteerism, such as connecting school students with various non-governmental or humanitarian organizations and encouraging students to a certain fund of volunteering hours in one of the local organizations, will also be implemented. The Medical High School of Sarajevo will also implement activities related to the promotion of human rights, such as the celebration of Human Rights Day, International Day of Tolerance, International Day of the Elimination of Violence against Children, International Children’s Day, etc. This agreement also considers the implementation of activities related to the promotion of environmental protection (World Environment Day, Earth Day) as well as activities related to interreligious dialogue and peace activism.
